I am a professor of education specializing in teacher preparation, educational philosophy, and the relationships between the technical and human in educational ecologies.
I regularly teach, research, consult, publish, and present on a variety of educational topics, including learning theory, assessment theory, education and science fiction, the role of AI and machine learning in education, sustainable educational practices, and more. I am chair of the education department at Saint Martin's University, just outside Seattle, a member of the executive board of the Washington Association of Colleges of Teacher Education, and a doctoral faculty member at the Roma Tre University in Rome, Italy.
